Il ne s'agit pas de représenter 5 * 2/3 mais d'expliquer que l'on peut noter la partie décimale d'un nombre sous la forme d'une fraction.

Je schématise, ça dit "pour noter 5 + 0.6666666....., on note 5 2/3". C'est pas 5 * 2/3.
On peut s'interroger sur la pertinence de cette information, vu que ce n'est qu'une convention de notation après tout, une façon particulière de noter. Mais bon, le reste de l'image explique par exemple ce que représentent les chiffres arabes, qui ne sont dans l'absolu qu'une convention eux aussi.

Pas mal de personnes ont été inspirées par ces plaques et s'en sont fait tatouer certains symboles.
J'aime parcitulièrement celle-là qui représente notre position par rapport aux pulsars connus dans notre galaxie.
