Un télésiège marche à l'envers

"The lift was dangerous and erratic as it circled the wrong way around the bull wheel at the bottom. Chairs were swinging people off and into the chairlift structure. The lift at that location was 10-15 feet with soft snow underneath. The injuries were from people swung by the bull wheel (big wheel where the lift changes direction) not from those bailing off the chairs."

C'est un télésiège dont le câble s'est détaché semble t'il. Il y a eu 7 personnes bléessées. Certaines personnes sont tombées avec le télésiège. D'autres on sauté (aux endroits où la hauteur était faible). Les autres ont été évacués.

A noter qu'en 2010, un accident similaire s'était produit au même endroit sur un autre télésiège de 35 ans. Ce télésiège avait été changé en 2011.
("Sugarloaf was the site of another chairlift accident in 2010 in which a 35-year-old lift derailed, causing five chairs to fall to the ground, injuring eight skiers. That lift was replaced in 2011")
